Donations to Hospice of Citrus County allow us to expand our services with the introduction of new programs while continuing to provide excellent care to out patients and their families.

Hospice of Citrus County provides end-of-life care for adults and children with any life-limiting illness. Hospice of Citrus County depends on gifts and donations from caring individuals to provide services to our patients and community. Staff are trained to provide specialized care for patients with dementia, end-stage cardiac or respiratory disease, and Orthodox Jewish cultures.

 
 

 

The abc Division provides specialized medical care and grief support services to children. Camp Good Hope is a 2-day camp that offers a full range of activities and group sessions to teach children about grief and loss.

 

 

Hospice House and the Hospice Care Unit are inpatient facilities for patients when they require special end-of-life care not possible at home.

 

 

 

The Wings Grief Support Team provides counseling services to any individual who has experienced a loss of and kind. This program is supported by community donations, corporate sponsorships and grants.

Volunteer

Services

 

 

Over 500 specially trained volunteers provide supportive services. Volunteers receive on-going training, quarterly newsletters, Thrift & Gift Shoppe Discounts and an annual appreciation dinner.

 

 

 

Specially trained therapy dogs provide support to patients and families in institutional settings and attend events.

 

 

 

Trained clowns spread cheer at local facilities and community events.

 

 

 

Through donations, Hospice of Citrus County is able to grant patients and families their final wish for a trip, a visit to a theme park of a living legacy video.

 

 

 

 

With an estimated total project cost of $5 million, on-going financial support from the community has never been more important. Donations mad be made as outright gifts or in the form of pledges paid over time. Many sponsorship and naming opportunities are available.
