The Mission of the Shalom Jewish Hospice Program:

The Shalom Jewish Hospice Program serves the needs of our Jewish community. This program upholds the Jewish values, customs, and traditions. Through this special program lives a commitment toward preserving the quality of life of the dying by restoring their dignity, choices and control. Through alleviation of spiritual and psychological distress, individuals diagnosed with terminal illness may live fully until they die.

In addition to expert pain control and symptom management, the Shalom Jewish Hospice Program provides staff trained in Jewish rituals and traditions that is sensitive to the special needs of people of Jewish faith.

Services provided;
The Shalom Jewish Hospice Program employs an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care that includes: physicians, nurses, social workers, home health aides, specially trained volunteers, Rabbis, bereavement counselors as well as other therapists needed to care for the specific needs of each patient.
