When a patient is appropriate for hospice care and has symptoms that can be addressed in an acute care setting, inpatient hospice care may be appropriate. Our 16-bed Hospice House provides care for patients in the final stages of terminal illness.

When a patient's symptoms can be best addressed in an acute care setting, inpatient hospice care may be appropriate. Our dedicated 6-bed Hospice Care Unit at Citrus Memorial Hospital provides care for patients in the final stages of terminal illness. |

|
The Herry's Kids Division is dedicated to
providing services to young people who have
a life threatening illness or who have
experienced the loss of a loved one or
friend. Nurses, aides, social workers,
chaplains and volunteers provide medical
services and support to children with life
threatening illnesses.
Education and emotional support is
also provided to family members.
Social workers visit with school
guidance counselors and law enforcement
personnel to identify children who are
struggling with grief and loss issues.
Specialized counseling is also available for
children with life -threatening or terminal
illness.

Camp
Good Hope is a two-day camp for kids ages 6
and above who have experienced the loss of a
loved one or friend. Camp Good Hope offers a
full range of activities including sports,
crafts, canoeing & horsemanship.
Children also participate in various group
sessions with social workers who teach them
to understand the loss they have experienced
so they can begin the process of healing.

Encounter is a camp for youth who have
experienced the loss of a loved one or
friend.
This Camp offers specialized
activities and group sessions for teens.

volunteers and other organizations to
provide quality end of life services for all
veterans and their families.

Life
WORKS provides quality, compassionate Cardiac
and Pulmonary care in your home. This program
is for cardiac or pulmonary disease patients
who need the physical, emotional, and spritual
support that Hospice of Citrus County is
known for. The Life WORKS program is designed
to educate the patient and family on symptom
and disease management while utilizing your
specific plan of care from your physician.

The
Shalom Jewish Hospice Program serves the
needs of our Jewish community. This program
upholds the Jewish values, customs, and
traditions. Through this special program
lives a commitment toward preserving the
quality of life of the dying by restoring
their dignity, choices and control. Through
alleviation of spiritual and psychological
distress, individuals diagnosed with terminal
illness may live fully until they die.
In
addition to expert pain control and symptom
management, the Shalom Jewish Hospice Program
provides staff trained in Jewish rituals
and traditions.

Trinity Catholic Program is specifically
designed for the Catholic patient and family.

The
Thrift & Gift Shoppes offer a variety
of merchandise. Hospice of Citrus County
operates two Thrift and Gift Shoppes which
are located in Inverness, Homosassa, Beverly Hills and Downtown High Springs.

Clown
Tyme are Hospice volunteers who are trained
in the art of outreach clowning. Clown Tyme
Clowns visit patients in institutional settings
to brighten their days. The Clowns participate
in local charitable events to spread good
will and cheer. Hospice of Citrus County
offers a clown training program.

PUPS
Program features volunteers who have dogs
certified through Therapy Dog International
(TDI). These volunteers visit patients in
institutional settings to uplift spirits.
Hospice of Citrus County works with the
volunteer and TDI to train and certify dogs.
These specially trained dogs help comfort
patients at this special time.

challenge to Hospice in eligibility for
Medicare coverage and for the care
